In January 2015, Ornstein’s eldest son died a decade after suffering a psychotic breakdown. Encouraged to wrap up the interview on a more positive note, Ornstein smiles, throws up both arms, and exclaims: “Jim Harbaugh! At least we’ve got him to look forward to.”
