Oct 9, 2015 · Peter Pan isn’t a superhero and doesn’t really need an origin story, especially one that opens at a London orphanage for boys during the Blitz and borrows heavily from the “Oliver Twist” handbook.
PAN is a retelling of the Peter Pan story that focuses on Peter's transformation from a London orphan into the iconic savior of Neverland. Instead of the tale's traditional Edwardian, turn-of-the-century England setting, the movie takes place a few decades later, during WWII.

I really like the start of this movie. Peter Pan is brash, mischievous and heroic. I even like transferring the story to WWII which allows for a fun dogfight in the skies of London. Then the movie goes to Neverland and the problems start to pile up. I also like the wild colorful action extravaganza.
