The series was based upon the 1957 book by Jean Kerr and the 1960 film starring Doris Day and David Niven. The series ran for 58 half-hour episodes and starred Patricia Crowley and Mark Miller.
Please Don't Eat the Daisies. The Nashes of Ridgemont, New York are an unusual suburban family. Jim Nash, a college English professor, and his wife Joan, a newspaper columnist, live with their four sons, a tolerant family maid, and a huge sheep dog.

Joan is approached by a TV man with an offer to give her a free trip to New York City. While they secretly record, she has to dress up in a blonde wig , and try and trick her husband that she is another woman.
The Nash clan is to be profiled on the university's TV show "At Home with the Faculty." The attention creates chaos on the home front as Joan wants to present an artificial look at their life instead of reality.
