Weis received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tampa and his J.D.degree from the Stetson University College of Law.
Weis is a former private practice attorney and senior appellate attorney for the Florida Department of Transportation. From 2005 until his judicial appointment in 2009, he worked as a general magistrate in Hillsborough County.
