Savion Glover (b. 1973) played Savion on Sesame Street, first in a guest appearance in Episode 2641 and then as a regular from 1991 to 1995. He also choreographed the remake of "A New Way to Walk" for Sesame Street Jam: A Musical Celebration.

Savion Glover. DEBUT. 1989. Savion is a hip young guy seen on Sesame Street from Season 21 to Season 26. He and Gina were close in age, and the two were friends. Savion frequently danced on the show. He also helped teach Elmo how to tap dance.
Glover’s numerous other appearances included a regular role (1990–95) on the children’s television show Sesame Street. In 2000 Glover appeared in director Spike Lee ’s film Bamboozled, and in 2001 he made an appearance in Bojangles, a television biopic of tap dancer Bill (“Bojangles”) Robinson starring Hines.
