    Based on reviews and a quick google search Sherwood Island State Park seemed an easy and interesting stop. For the pros - the park is large and has two beach areas and plenty of picnic tables. Considering the day before was Memorial Day, the beach and restrooms were quite clean.

    We have lived near Sherwood Island but never visited until recently. We took our dog there in the fall and it was a really nice place to take a walk. They don’t allow dogs in the summer season.
