The Golden Palominos were an American musical group headed by drummer, producer, arranger and composer Anton Fier, first formed in 1981. Aside from Fier, the Palominos membership has been wildly elastic, with only bassist Bill Laswell and guitarist Nicky Skopelitis appearing on every album through 1996. Feb 11, 2007 · Gotta love Anton Fier and his motley crew. This "best of" 2-cd set is actually 2 numbers off their first self-titled album plus the next three albums ("Visions Of Excess", "Blast Of Silence" & "Dead Horse") in their entirety, albeit jumbled up and not in their original song sequence. Still, if you dig the Palominos, you'll like this set.

A 2 CD set of the Golden Palominos albums from 1983-1989. Includes only two songs from their first album, but includes all of their 2nd through 4th albums. Not so much a "group" as a revolving door experiment with drummer Anton Fier leading the way.
