The Magician of Lublin is my third. I feel somehow blessed. I've come across a theme shared here with another Singer novel, Enemies: A Love Story. In that later book the protagonist, Herman Broder, is torn between three women. A Holocaust survivor, Broder has lost all belief in God. He finds a reason for living in each of the three women.
