Then continues out of thunder heart on pin 6 0f the large 15 pin connection. To side of coil with 2 wires. One wire goes to ignition module the other comes from thunder heart. Turns out my Ignition module is shorted.

The only adjustment to the ignition is several advance curve programs. He has tried to adjust there, but nothing changes. Does anyone know how reliable these ignition systems are?

  5. But your symptoms indicate the EHC has failed. this is not uncommon. before contacting Big Dog for a replacement, make sure all the connectors are clean and secure on the EHC. trace the power back to the battery and make sure you have no breaks or loose connections. let me know what you find.

Modify ignition module bracket for wires to going thru by cutting ½” notch and used grommet. Soldered plug ends off old ignition module onto the new one, color for color except for brown to gray.

  7. May 16, 2010 · #1 · May 16, 2010. I have a twin cam builder with a Thunderheart ignition/coil. I recently had a problem with the bike starting and running on one cylinder. I could ocassionally rev it up and eventuallly the other cylinder would start to fire up...until now. I did a test to see if it was a faulty coil but both have spark when using the wire lead.
