With assassins and attackers on the loose, it is up to Jai to save the country's Prime Minister-elect Aditya Singhania (Neil Bhoopalam), even possibly from members of his own family, with the eye of suspicion lingering on his cousin and Chief of Staff, Prithvi Singhania (Raaghav Chanana).
He in the mean time learns that there is a plot to assassinate the youthful Prime Minister Designate who is supposed to be sworn in tomorrow. The candidate and his family seems to resembles a prominent political family in the land (India).
Season 1 of 24 is a close adaptation of the first season of the original 24, following Anti Terrorist Unit (ATU) director Jai Singh Rathod's efforts to thwart the assassination of newly elected Prime Minister Aditya Singhania, while his own family comes under threat from the perpetrators.

They have learned of a threat to assassinate newly elected Prime Minister Aditya Singhania, and Jai must investigate and uncover the terrorist plot. Meanwhile, Kiran sneaks out of the house to meet Rohit and Dev Sharma, who kidnap her under orders from the terrorist leader Yakub Syed.
Pooja Bharadwaj, the Press Secretary to the Prime Minister, is a combination of all the secretaries from Day 1 of the original, notably Patty Brooks and Elizabeth Nash. Mihir, the hacker from Season 1 based on Milo Pressman, eventually performs the role of Adam Kaufmann from Season 3.
