The original was back in 1985... Back to the Future II was made in 1989 by the same director (Robert Zemeckis). For me Back to the Future II is the best sequel to the original as we get to see Michael J. Fox as McFly trying to steal back a sports betting book or something called Almanac from Biff (Thomas F.Wilson).
