It may sound like a joke, but in this not-so-new phishing scam, cybercriminals are trying to impersonate an FBI director to steal sensitive information, as the Bleeping Computer reported. The malicious email is sent by officialfbidirector@usa.com.

The phishing email actually tells you that the previous banking scam email was you received legal! WTH. "We the Federal Bureau of investigation (FBI) through our intelligence-monitoring network have discovered that the transaction that the bank contacted you previously for was legal."
I do know this is a scam. I've decided to send this post here so that other people can be aware of this email format, and additionally identify it as a scam. Any personal information, and emails sent to me have been censored. The E-mailer impersonates the FBI Director Christopher Wray.
