    Cold Plum Soup
    Taste of Home
When my husband and I were first married, we dined at an inn that served a flavorful plum soup. After experimenting with different recipes, I came up with my own wonderful version! —Carol Klein, Franklin Square, New York
Grilled Lamb with Tomato Vinaigrette and Caponata
    Food and Wine
Andrew Zimmern’s Kitchen AdventuresThis is a family meal that gets its inspiration from the countless little taverns all over Italy where grilled lamb comes on the bone, served with vegetable salads like this caponata (an eggplant dish with pine nuts and anchovies). I’m always mopping up the vegetables and lamb juices in these restaurants. My lovely wife constantly tells me, “Slow down!” and “Watch your manners!” So, to eat the way I like but also make sure my wife will still dine in public with me, I compose the dish on my plate with cheese and grilled bread under the meat and vegetables to catch all the juices. Thus, one of our favorite rites of spring is the first lamb grill of the season, which always makes me remember a family trip to Sardinia. Our seven-year-old sits with me (“Dad, lamb lollipops!” he shouts) and we demolish half the platter. Eating with your hands is the best advice I have, but use a fork and knife if you are getting yelled at too much. Some guests think the vinaigrette is too much. Balderdash! I like that acidic punch, one that isn’t as tart-sweet as the caponata and cuts the richness of the lamb in a way that no other component of the dish could.—Andrew Zimmern Fast Lamb Chop Recipes
Wined and Dined Mushroom Pork Chops
    Allrecipes
This recipe came about when I had pork chops and mushrooms on hand and wanted something different. The richness of the mushrooms and the tang of the wine make these chops an easy and tasty weeknight main course! Serve on hot buttered bowtie pasta or rice with a tossed green salad for a complete meal.
    Lentil Pate
    Food.com
I've tried for ages to find a recipe that actually makes lentils taste GOOD. (I'm a vegetarian and eat lots, but am really not that fussed by how they actually taste). This recipe came from Channel 4's show "Come Dine with Me" in the UK.
    Burrito Grande, Oven Baked
    Food.com
Shortly after my husband and I were married, we dined at a restaurant in Punta Gorda, Florida. They had an item on the menu called "Burrito Grande" and we fell in love with the meal which was served with, what else, beans and rice. I went home and experimented for some time until I came up with this recipe. It is a favorite in our household to this day. I have also made this recipe using 2 pounds of cooked, shredded beef (such as chuck roast). It is best to let these cool for about 15 minutes after removing from the oven then you can use your spatula to separate the cheese and remove the burritos without tearing them up.
Kangaroo Pie ( Actually, Fish in Pastry, With a Cheese Sauce!)
    Food.com
I'm posting this recipe for ZWT5. it comes from a lovely cookbook "Dine Around The World", a gift from a friend many years ago. From the book :" One hundred years ago, a Hungarian lady brought recipes to Sydney, but nobody could understand their Hungarian names. So this roll was called Kangaroo Pie, because filling it reminded people of a kangaroo filling its pouch." It doesn't specify the fish to use, but I would use hake, cod, tilapia, or similar.
