Marcy Edwards knows that this is because he has no qualms about bribing witnesses; she didn't expect that he'd have no qualms about killing her to keep her silent either.
Dabney Coleman is an attorney with live-in girlfriend/rock star whom he kills. He then frames her boyfriend for the murder. One of the best things is that when Columbo hears her name, he knows what her hit song is! There's another hilarious scene in a restaurant where Coleman asks Columbo if he wants something to eat.
