  2. David Kibuuka is one of the founders of "Modern Batik Art Painting" in East Africa where he introduced "Fragmentation" technique to traditional Batik Art.

  3. David Kibuuka. Born in Uganda, Kibuuka was a blossoming prodigy who began selling his painting to international collectors through local galleries at age 11. Protege to his brilliant late mentor and older brother Henry Lutalo Lumu, the artist shared a passion for the work of European art masters.

  4. David Kibuuka is Ugandan born but immigrated to Ontario, Canada in 1983 and has grown as an artist by presenting his work to a wider audience over the years. David’s paintigs are influenced by African traditional art and to an extent, contemporary western art.

  5. David Kibuuka. David Kibuuka started painting at an early age in Uganda. His talent became quickly apparent at the age of 11 as he was able to sell his paintings in art galleries, such as Nomo Gallery in Kampala. At that time, David’s strength was pencil drawing and water color.

  6. Born in Uganda (East Africa), David Kibuuka left Uganda in 1977 for Nairobi, Kenya, to continue his studies in fine art. Encouraged by his parents and late brother Henry Lumu to take the path of art, Kibuuka loves art as it gives him unlimited freedom of expression and is therapeutic to his soul.
