Rynearson Stadium begins its 50th season as the home venue for the Eastern Michigan University football and track teams in 2019-20. Opened in 1969, the facility is named for the late Elton J. Rynearson, Sr., who coached football at Eastern Michigan for 26 seasons. His teams compiled a record of 114-58-15.

Rynearson Stadium, nicknamed " The Factory ", is a stadium in Ypsilanti, Michigan. It is primarily used for American football, and is the home field of the Eastern Michigan University Eagles. Currently, the stadium has seating for 30,200 people. Standing room is available in the south end zone, allowing for crowds larger than the listed capacity.

The stadium was dedicated a few weeks later on Oct. 25, 1969, when EMU lost, 17-7, to the University of Tampa. Just over two million fans have seen EMU play in Rynearson. In 21 of the 40 years, Eastern has averaged more than 11,000 fans per home date. The 1995 season proved to be the record-breaking year for Rynearson Stadium attendance.
