May 22, 2015 · In 1955 Edwards sold the estate to the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto upon condition that it be used as a park, and two years later Edwards Gardens opened to the public. Now owned by the City, the park is composed of perennials, wildflowers, fountains, an arboretum, and an outdoor teaching garden.

May 1, 2020 · Park hours are 6:00am to 11:00pm. Seven Maples Nature Area is located at the end of W. 13th Street and also at the end of Fairway Drive. The park has a natural mowed trail around the perimeter. Come and enjoy the natural area with all sorts of wildlife calling the place their home. Park hours are 7:00am to 10:00pm.
