  2. El Ateneo is definitely worth a quick peak. An old theater, it has been repurposed into a Barnes & Noble-like bookstore. While the retail component is completely underwhelming (unless you're in the market for a Spanish language book), the architecture of the original building is spectacular and exceptionally interesting to see how they have repurposed it for today's marketplace.
