The Eustis Estate is a historic family estate on Canton Avenue in Milton, Massachusetts. Its centerpiece is the mansion house of William Ellery Channing Eustis, an eclectic Late Victorian stone building designed by preeminent architect William Ralph Emerson and constructed in 1878.
But despite its size, grand entrance hall, and open central staircase, the Eustis Estate is not an explicitly opulent showplace of the magnitude of the historic Newport, Rhode Island, mansions. These rooms, designed on a human scale and used by a family, have a more intimate ambiance.
The Eustis Estate Museum is a Historic New England property that opened to the public in May 2017. It was purchased from the Eustis family for $7.1M in 2014 and underwent extensive restoration. The 18,600 square foot mansion is on 80 acres adjacent to the Blue Hills Reservation.
