Experiment Perilous is the weakest, least interesting film in the Criterion Channel’s Gaslight Noir series. In 1903 Manhattan, rich dude Nick Bederaux (Paul Lukas) is driven by jealousy to try to drive his much younger wife, Allida (Hedy Lamarr), crazy.
