Seattle interior design firm stager Miranda Chester stumbles accidentally on clues suggesting the father her late mother never revealed may be in a small town Carlton Heath, Vermont and uses the Christmas holiday to visit its only inn, without revealing her quest.
Finding Father Christmas premiered on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel on November 13, 2016. It was subsequently broadcast on the channel a further twenty times in the lead up to Christmas, including broadcast on Christmas Day. The film was released on DVD in the United States in October 2017.

Her mother died when she was young, never revealing the identity of her father. But, three days before Christmas, she unexpectedly receives a clue as to the whereabouts that takes her to a beautiful New England town where she meets Ian, a young man who helps with her search.
