He worked with great directors such as Federico Fellini in I Vitelloni, Michelangelo Antonioni in I Vinti and Luchino Visconti in his stage adaptation of Death of a Salesman.
An Italian actor best known his lead performance in Federico Fellini’s I Vitelloni (1953), Interlenghi also delivered a defining performance in another Italian postwar classic: Shoeshine (1946). His other memorable credits included Domenica d’Agosoto (1950) and his two Hollywood films, The Barefoot Contessa (1954) and A Farewell to Arms (1957).
