Gangster: A Love Story is a 2006 Indian Hindi -language musical romantic thriller film directed by Anurag Basu. It stars Kangana Ranaut, Emraan Hashmi and Shiney Ahuja in lead roles. Slow paced in parts and doesn't have any major cast performances, but 'Gangster' is still a rather good film. The premise and what it sets up means it remains interesting, even if it does move a little too leisurely in certain moments. The film takes a turn at some point, which actually did surprise me I won't lie - it's nicely done.

The title Gangster implies that it is a typically violent bollywood action movie about the underworld, but the tagline 'a love story' gets you thinking about another angle to it. That has been nicely done and actually sums up the film to an extent - a mix of romance, action, drama and suspense.
