- Explore Victoria (Rabat) Victoria or Rabat as it’s also known is the capital of Gozo. Its old citadel is strategically located on a hill in the center of the island and you’ll find yourself in Victoria at some point during your stay.
- Visit a Winery. Gozo’s wine heritage goes back thousands of years and if you’re a fan of wine make sure to take the time to visit some of Gozo’s local wineries.
- Visit Dwejra Bay. Dwejra Bay, in Western Gozo, is one of the most dramatic spots in all of Gozo Island. The best time to visit is during sunset when you get beautiful golden light cast onto the cliffs and the entire bay.
- See What’s Left of the Azure Window. While in Dwejra Bay you’ll come across the site where the Azure Window used to be. The Azure Window, once a majestic natural limestone arch, stood as one of the most iconic landmarks in the Maltese archipelago.

- Victoria and the Citadella. Let’s start your trip to Gozo with Victoria (also called Rabat in Maltese), the capital city located in the center of the island.
- Dwejra and the Azure Window. On the North-Western part of Gozo is Dwejra, home of the Azure Window. So yes, I know, it -unfortunately- collapsed in 2017, but that doesn’t mean there is nothing left to see there!
- Ta’Pinu Basilica. Not far from Dwejra bay, you can find another must see attraction in Gozo: Ta’Pinu Basilica. There’s no place like it! This impressive construction is located in the middle of nowhere, lost in an ocean of hills with the sea in background.
- Marsalforn salt pans. Marsalforn salt pans is my favorite spot in Gozo, I highly recommend adding it to your itinerary. To reach the salt pans, you’ll have to pass by Marsalforn.
- Visit Comino & the Blue Lagoon. Comino is the smallest of the main Maltese Islands and lies less than a kilometer from Gozo! As a result, visiting the tiny island of Comino and the Blue Lagoon (Malta's main attraction) is very easy from this island.
- Visit Rabat (Victoria) & the Citadel. Interested in historic and cultural attractions in Gozo? You can't miss a visit to Rabat (Victoria) and its famous Cittadella.
- Ramla Beach, Gozo (Red Sand Beach) Ramla Bay is located in the northeast region of Gozo Island and is well-regarded as being one of the most beautiful beaches in the country.
- Tal-Mixta Cave. Perhaps the most iconic thing to do in Gozo is to visit the Tal-Mixta cave at Ramla Beach. This is a cliffside cave with a large overhanging rock opening overlooking the stunning blue waters of Ramla Bay.
