Hugh Donell Green (born July 27, 1959) is an American former football linebacker who played for 11 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) from 1981 to 1991. He played college football for the Pittsburgh Panthers as a defensive end, and was recognized as a three-time consensus All-American.

Hugh Green played defensive end for Pittsburgh and in 1980 wrapped up the Lombardi/Rotary Award, given to the best college lineman of the year. Then came other awards which no defensive end had previously won: the Maxwell Award as the nation's best player; Walter Camp Foundation's Player of the Year; Sporting News Player of the Year.
