At the end of the Civil War, Captain Matt Martin accepts a perilous covert mission to retrieve a million dollars in gold stolen from a Union regiment during a deadly ambush at Phantom Hill – the massacre where his officer-brother died.
In 1865 near the end of the Civil War, Rebels ambush a Union convoy, steal $1 million in gold, and hide the treasure in a cave near Phantom Hill, Texas. Two Union officers, Matt Martin and Adam Long, with three enlisted men, set out to find the gold.
