Robert "IronE" Singleton is an American actor who portrayed Theodore Douglas in AMC's The Walking Dead and GameMill Entertainment's The Walking Dead: Destinies.
Singleton was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. At an early age, he lost his mother to HIV/AIDS and had his brother sent to Georgia's prison system. He attended the University of Georgia on academic and football scholarships, where he completed a double major in Theater and Speech Communications.
Prior to breaking into film and television, he put on a one-man theater show entitled IronE... The Resurrected, which garnered rave reviews. In his spare time, he is a Youth Motivational Speaker and youth sports referee. He divides his time between Atlanta and Los Angeles with his wife and children.

He was created by series developer Frank Darabont and was portrayed by IronE Singleton. The character was introduced in the first season as a member of the group that series protagonist Rick Grimes encounters in Atlanta.
"Killer Within" signified the final appearances of Sarah Wayne Callies (Lori) and IronE Singleton (T-Dog) as regulars. In an early script draft, Melissa McBride (Carol) was going to be killed off in this episode but the producers eventually decided that it would be T-Dog.
