Dec 27, 2019 · Jason Clark Recuperating After Major Surgery. (Dec. 23, 2019) — Jason Clark of The Nelons underwent open-heart surgery on Dec. 18. He was born with a heart defect called a myocardial bridge, which can be a harmless condition. However, it caused Jason to experience various symptoms over the past several years, including chest pain and exhaustion.
The Nelons are an American southern gospel group based in Atlanta, Georgia. Group members are Kelly Nelon Clark, her husband Jason Clark, and Kelly's daughters Amber Nelon Kistler and Autumn Nelon Clark. The Nelons were inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame in 2016.
The ensemble is led by the legendary, multi-award winning vocalist, co-founding member Kelly Nelon Clark and her husband, the versatile singer, songwriter, musician, and producer, Jason Clark.

Jason Clark is a writer, speaker, producer, and lead communicator at A Family Story. From 1996 through 2003, Jason was the lead singer of the band Fringe. They released several albums, including, For the Vagabond Believer (2000) and One More Day To There (2002).
