Wanted was nominated for Best Album Cover for the 1971 Grammy Awards, and was mistakenly listed under the title Mason Proffit. In 1972, the band signed to Warner Bros. Records and continued touring, performing up to 300 concerts each year.

They are probably most well known for their FM radio classic "Two Hangmen" from their first album, "Wanted". It is featured here with it's original album cover! Same with "Movin' Toward Happiness".

They originally formed out of the ashes of Sounds Unlimited, a hard edged Chicago garage band with a good sense of melody and song structure.
