"Messengers 2: The Scarecrow" is a good direct-to-video supernatural movie. The story may be not original but is well constructed, with a good screenplay and effective performances of veteran and novice actors and actresses.
Messengers 2: The Scarecrow: Directed by Martin Barnewitz. With Norman Reedus, Heather Stephens, Claire Holt, Richard Riehle. Doing what he believes must be done in order to save his family and livelihood, farmer John Rollins places an odd scarecrow among his crops and promptly reaps the benefits.

The viewer however doesn’t need to be familiar with the first film; this film does stand on its own.
Aug 6, 2021 · The pacing is superb, enough tension and suspense, but not so much draw out you get bored, all the characters are developed enough for you to care whether they live or die, and the storyline, although farfetched, is explained and there are no loopholes that we all expect from a B-rate horror.
