Morse College is one of the fourteen residential colleges at Yale University, built in 1961 and designed by Eero Saarinen. It is adjacent to Ezra Stiles College and the two colleges share many facilities.
About Morse. A Brief History of Morse. In his report on the year 1955-6, Yale President A. Whitney Griswold announced his intention to add at least one more residential college to the system Yale had launched only two decades earlier.
The Head of College’s Office is the location of many of Morse’s student resources including room reservations, Morse gear, and much much more! During regular office hours, the Head of College’s Office is also responsible for student lockouts.
The Dean’s Office is responsible for guiding Morse students through their academic progress at Yale. In this way, the Dean’s Office becomes the central hub for course schedules, advisor forms, academic major choices, graduation requirements, as well as counseling through any and all academic and personal issues.
Morse College is a vibrant community. We would love to count you among us. The Fellows meet a few times per semester at the Head of College’s house, to interact with friends from all parts of the University and from the broader community.
First-Year Counselors (aka “FroCos”) are Morse Seniors chosen by the Dean’s Office who live with Morse First-Years to ease the transition to the academic, social, and cultural life of Yale College.

Housing Information 2022-2023. The Housing process for the 2022-2023 academic year has opened. For any housing concerns, please reach out to Mere Bergstrom ( mere.bergstrom@yale.edu) in the Morse College Dean’s Office directly.
The Morse College Council (MCC) is responsible for organizing many Morse events, ranging from Morse Formal to interstellar snow tubing, and helping to create new Morse gear. Open meetings are held every Monday at 9:00 PM in the Morse Common Room, and usually, involve free food.
