Columbo was never seen on Mrs. Columbo ; each episode featured the resourceful Mrs. Columbo, here given the first name Kate, solving a murder mystery she encountered in her work as a newspaper reporter.

Sep 20, 2020 · A short while later, Columbo receives devastating news while in Vivian’s company: Mrs Columbo is in hospital after being found unconscious at home by a neighbour. He flees the scene to be with his wife, leaving Vivian barely able to conceal a faint look of triumph.
The 1979–1980 NBC series Mrs. Columbo starred Kate Mulgrew as an amateur mystery-solver. The show initially made clear that this was intended to be the wife of Lt. Columbo, despite clear contradictions with descriptions of Mrs. Columbo on the original series.
In Rest in Peace, Mrs. Columbo, the Lieutenant faces one of his most personal cases ever, when the widow of a man he once arrested conspires to have her revenge. First, she murders her late husband's former partner, then sets her sights on Columbo's wife as her next victim.
