I'm on Xbox Series X and I tried starting up Fallout 4 on a new profile and it won't get past the Please Stand By screen. I can hear the main music playing though. I have restarted the console, closed out my quick resumes, reopened the game, and none of it worked.

Jul 12, 2023 · Normally I'd click with the mouse to snap full screen, but this time it locked up the stand by screen and had to force quit. I'm normally dedicated full screen and never window mode. What just happened seemed similar to what you described.

The "please stand by"screen pops up momentarily, followed by a black screen with a pulsing green icon in the lower right-hand corner. Game attempts to load A few minutes, pulsing stops on the icon and the game crashes to the dashboard.
