Prince of the City is a 1981 American epic neo-noir crime drama film directed by Sidney Lumet. It is based on the life of Robert Leuci , called ‘Daniel Ciello’ in the film, an officer of the New York Police Department who chooses, for idealistic reasons, to expose corruption in the force.

A much often forgotten part of the NYPD Sepico saga , this book is a must read for anyone studying NY in the 70’s, crime and policing. Great read and a keen insight into the day to day of the narcotics division in the late 60s and 70’s ny.
