From 1997 to 2017, the stadium's naming rights were owned by Qualcomm, and the stadium was known as Qualcomm Stadium or simply The Q.
Qualcomm Stadium has been host to many internationally watched events, such as two Super Bowls, two World Series, Major League Soccer and Baseball All Star Games, the Holiday Bowl, and major concert events including the Rolling Stones, Elton John and Billy Joel.
