As El Kabong, Quick Draw would attack his foes by swooping down on a rope with the war cry "OLÉ!" and hitting them on the head with an acoustic guitar (after shouting "KABOOOOOONG!"), which is always referred to as a "kabonger", producing a distinctive kabong sound and usually destroying the guitar in the process.

Quick Draw is a good friend of Yogi Bear, who joined the latter in several of his groups including Yogi's Gang from the series of the same name, the Yogi Yahooeys from Laff-a-Lympics, and Yogi's Treasure Hunters from Yogi's Treasure Hunt. He also has a pet bloodhound dog named Snuffles.
According to the episode, "The Return of El Kabong" from Yogi's Treasure Hunt, history was shown that Quick Draw grew up in the town of Corney San Cobbo.
