   What is Rancho Sisquoc known for?

   • Rancho Sisquoc is an original 1852 Mexican land grant. The James Flood Family of San Francisco purchased the 37,000 acre cattle ranch in 1952 and began to plant the vineyards in 1968. The Chumash Indians called this area “Sisquoc” which meant “gathering place”. Today Rancho Sisquoc is again a gathering place for wine lovers.
