Ending / spoiler. Dorothy and her friends defeat Mombi and the Nome King, and restore the Emerald City to its former glory with the ruby slippers. Princess Ozma, the true heir of Oz, appears, and becomes Queen. Dorothy returns home, and the evil nurse is captured.
Submitted by DrummerBrian. Dorothy (Fairuza Balk) defeats the Nome King when he attempts to eat Jack Pumpkinhead. He doesn’t realize Billina the chicken is in Jack’s head. She lays an egg (poisonous to Nomes) which the Nome King swallows. The Emerald City is restored and Ozma is returned to her throne.

Return to Oz (1985) is a fever dream that's kinda deep. So I watched this for the first time the other day and... What were they on? The Wheelers are actually terrifying, the chicken subplot is hilariously weird, and how did Dorothy get younger? However, I believe that Dorothy died in the psych ward when the power went out, and Oz is Purgatory.
In autumn of 1899, Dorothy Gale's (Fairuza Balk) obsession with the Land of Oz troubles her Aunt Em (Piper Laurie) and Uncle Henry (Matt Clark), who believe she is delusional. Dorothy finds a key in her barn, in the shape of OZ. But aunt Em thinks its an key to the old house from before the tornado.
