Season 3 of Rhoda consisted of 24 half-hour episodes. With Rhoda still on Monday nights at 8:00 p.m., the show moved to CBS on Sunday nights in the 8:00 p.m. time slot. The opening credits have changed to show the title's name over a shot of Rhoda in New York City, intercut with clips from many episodes of Seasons 1–3.
Rhoda's Wedding. It's two days before Rhoda and Joe's wedding. One item still of contention between Rhoda and Ida is the wedding itself. Ida wants a larger wedding than Rhoda has planned, and takes steps to ensure she gets what she wants without Rhoda being able to do anything about it.

Season 3 (1976–1977) When Ida gets depressed, Brenda and Rhoda try to help. In the first episode of the third season during a particularly dramatic scene Joe leaves Rhoda and the two remain separated for the entire season, with Groh appearing in only nine of the season's episodes.
