In RPG Maker games, your sprites will take the form of a single image that the game will pull certain parts from to form images in the game. This means you'll be uploading your sprites directly to XP's resource tab.

Breaking it Down: Sprites. It’s been ages since I’ve posted, so here’s a basic not-quite tutorial about how RPG Maker XP’s sprites work. Here is “Aluxes”, aka 001-Fighter01. The graphic is 128 pixels wide, and 192 pixels tall. This is the default sprite size for RPG Maker.

Nov 13, 2023 · Once you've actually made a sprite, you can just download it directly to Documents -> RPGXP -> (Your game name) -> Graphics -> (whichever sprite type you've made, items will be in "Icons")

Jun 4, 2017 · This isn't so much a question of creating your own sprites as getting your sprite sheet into the correct format. So I'm moving this back again to XP. An XP sprite sheet needs to have 4 columns and 4 rows.
