Santa Fe Opera (SFO) is an American opera company, located 7 miles (11 km) north of Santa Fe, New Mexico. After creating the Opera Association of New Mexico in 1956, its founding director, John Crosby, oversaw the building of the first opera house on a newly acquired former guest ranch of 199 acres (0.81 km 2).

Santa Fe is magical. The opera house is a splendid, partially open air facility that offers fantastic views of a southwest sunset just before curtain. Their orchestra is world class and last night’s conductor did a great job. The villain in Tosca, Scarpia, was played by a fine baritone who did justice to the role.

Meya announced on November 4 the repertory and casting for the company’s 65 th Festival Season running from July 1 through August 27, 2022.
