From its autumnal foliage and red leaves to incredible cherry blossoms in Spring, Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is a top attraction in Tokyo for tourists and locals alike.
Shinjuku Gyoen is a popular park in Tokyo. It is a great place to rest and relax, even though it is near one of the world’s busiest train stations. But for photographers like me, it is a terrific place. You can find something interesting there for every season. This article is my photo guide to it.

At just under 60 hectares, the park is no backyard and is home to three distinct gardens with additional forests, ponds, lawns and a greenhouse, among other highlights. Oval-shaped with three entrances, you can easily spend an afternoon wandering through the greenery, with traditional buildings and ancient trees dotted throughout.
