PROMOTIONS DURING THE STATE FAIR. Enter the fair between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27 or Monday through Friday, Sept. 30 through Oct. 4, and donate 2 school supplies, 2 canned food items, or a pair of new winter gloves and gate admission is $9!
HOURS. 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Amusement rides open at 11 a.m. daily and the Midway will continue to operate for a minimum of one hour after the Ticket Plaza closes or longer on weekends at the discretion of fair management. No gate tickets sold at the Ticket Plaza after 8 pm. Buildings open until 9 pm.

The State Fair of Virginia is a state fair held annually at the end of September at The Meadow Event Park in Doswell, Virginia. Through 2008, the fair was held at the Richmond Raceway Complex, located in eastern Henrico County, just outside the capital city of Richmond.
