The White Sister is a 1933 American pre-Code romantic drama film directed by Victor Fleming and starring Helen Hayes and Clark Gable. It was based on the 1909 play of the same name by Francis Marion Crawford and Walter C. Hackett. It was a remake of the silent film The White Sister (1923).

After his performance as a brutal gangster who pushes Norma Shearer around in A Free Soul (1931) and a burly plantation overseer in Red Dust (1932), Clark Gable's screen popularity began to soar but The White Sister, which was made the following year, failed to exploit his strengths.

After the 1923 Gish version, The White Sister was brought to the screen a third time, starring Helen Hayes and Clark Gable, in 1933. No director is credited in that version, though it was produced by Victor Fleming (Gone with the Wind [1939]).
