That's why I liked "Top Secret!" This movie will cheerfully go for a laugh wherever one is even remotely likely to be found. It has political jokes and boob jokes, dog poop jokes, and ballet jokes. It makes fun of two completely different Hollywood genres: the spy movie and the Elvis Presley musical.
In the version of the film broadcast on Comedy Central, the ballet scene is edited to remove all shots of the enthusiastic male dancers, instead continually rerunning the opening shot of the female dancers repeatedly between the shots of Nick and Hillary in the audience.
Nick fully enters the adventure when he spies her being arrested by Sergeant Kruger at the ballet and rescues her, killing Kruger by accident in the process. The final action scenes center around Hillary being captured by the mole in the Resistance, with Nick riding to the rescue.
