A Second Trailer Is Released
With the disaster movie's release date looming nearer, the latest news sees a second trailer for Twisters revealed. Though it mostly expands upon scenes already shown in the first trailer, the exciting tease highlights a few of the over-the-top disaster sequencesthat involve a tornado ripping through Reno and even a rare fire tornado that threatens the heroes. It's unclear if another teaser or full-length trailer will drop before the movie premiers in July.
The Legacy Sequel Arrives In July
Deadline reports that the Twister sequel release date is set for July 19, 2024. With principal photography for Twisters commencing in Oklahoma City in May 2023, filming was expected to wrap up by July (as per Oklahoma City-based TV station KWTV-DT) but was suspended due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Universal will be handling the movie’s American release, while the international distribution will be handled by Warner Bros.
