Joseph Garber. Bessie Hope Wolf. Signature. Victor Garber, OC [1] (born March 16, 1949) is a Canadian actor. [2] Known for his work on stage and screen, he has been nominated for three Gemini Awards, four Tony Awards, and six Primetime Emmy Awards. In 2022, he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada.
Garber is known for playing Jesus in Godspell, Anthony in Sweeney Todd, John Wilkes Booth in Assassins, Jack Bristow in the television series Alias, Max in Lend Me a Tenor, and Thomas Andrews in James Cameron's 1997 film, Titanic.
He has shared in two Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award® nominations for Outstanding Motion Picture Cast, the latest for Milk (2008), and previously as a member of the cast of Titanic (1997) as well as winning with the cast of Argo (2012).
