The Institute pioneered the development of terrain barrier fences to reduce the countless deaths of female terrapins by automobile traffic as they struggle to return to traditional nesting habitats. That program has been adopted by other communities in South Jersey and beyond.
Our Summer Nature Program allows children to discover in a fun and hands-on way! They will engage in science experimentation and exploration, play games, go on field trips, explore the beach, create arts and crafts, and much more all while enjoying a new theme each week.
