Wyatt Berry Stapp Earp (March 19, 1848 – January 13, 1929) was an American lawman and gambler in the American West, including Dodge City, Deadwood, and Tombstone. Earp was involved in the famous gunfight at the O.K. Corral, during which lawmen killed three outlaw Cochise County Cowboys.

Wyatt Earp moved to Tombstone, Arizona with his common law wife in 1879. By 1880, several of his brothers and their wives, including his good friend Doc Holiday and his common law wife, all lived in Tombstone. He was elected deputy sheriff in part of Pima County and later became a U.S. Marshall.
