All and all Mexico City is a safe place and I would go back in a heart beat. I just advice you take the same precautions you would in a larger city such as New York or Chicago after all according to the locals there are 25 million people who live in Mexico City.

Jan 5, 2024 · Zona Rosa is a relatively safe area of Mexico City. As in any major city, you should be aware of your surroundings and not flash any valuables in this area. The safest part of Zona Rosa is the main pedestrian street, Calle Génova, which is lively with activity most times of day and night.
